Alodine is a trademark name of conversion coating chemicals produced by the Henkel Corporation. There are several manufactures of conversion coating chemistry and the Alodine line of chemistry has been a chemical of choice for many years. The term Alodine has become synonymous with chemical conversion coatings.

There are many types of Alodine coatings Alodine 1200, Alodine 600, Alodine 1500. Each coating offers a slightly different corrosion resistant characteristic as well as electrical conductivity. Alodine coatings can be clear to dark brown in color. Several coatings have low electrical resistance to aid in electrical bonding applications.
